Visited the Dump, it may sound odd but this was an extremely eye opening field trip. I cannot believe how much waste humans produce. The majority of the contents in the dump could easily be composted, recycled or reused. We pay very little for our waste removal system. Imagine if we paid the garbage man 150$ for a large garbage can per month, 75$ for a medium sized garbage can, and 50$ for a small garbage can (which are miniature)? Our lifestyles would adapt and much less waste would be produced by the masses....nothin like standing on a mountain of trash enjoying the gulls flocking after each dump. Ha!
Savor the Central Coast - Santa Margarita Ranch
Visiting the kin up in Humboldt was fabulous. Hiking through Fern Canyon is always mystical. The five fingered ferns took a hit that year because of the extreme weather peaks. I jumped into a slack-line Competition, had a great time. and got schooled by some incredible athletes. A bold feeling took me to Confusion Hill. Secretly, I have always wanted to stop there!!!
