Our favorite lunch spot, Merce' Vin is conveniently located directly under our flat. I enjoyed their simplistic menu design. Each of us chose one of the 3 appetizers, our selection of the 3 mains offered and one of the 3 desserts. Their adaptive menu changes daily but the ambiance remains.

We visited the Dali Museum (Llongueras A Dali)....which was absolutely inspiring. This was my favorite picture in the exhibit....he cracks me up! I appreciate eccentric people like him.

Lookin good Dad!

We treated our selves to some of the finest preserved ham in europe...It ended up being 7Euros for a petite, but delectable portion. I am used to a much less saturated, salty parma ham and now that my pallet has been introduced to the GOOD stuff, I fear I have become spoiled to the rest!

James, dad, and I set off after breakfast to go exploring through the crooked narrow streets of Catalunya. The shops, restaurants and plazas are incredible and the architecture is breathtaking. Even the inlaid stone streets and noteworthy.

This place was impressive....stinky.... but really admirable. This family has been curing fish for a century. The fish is soaked in brine 7 different times so it can keep for ages.

This is the street we come home to. My family's charming little flat is great, with the exception of the sink pump that is conveniently embedded in the wall right next to my pillow. I'm crossing my fingers, but so far, jet lag hasn't been an issue.
